About Us
Navigating neurodivergent family life can feel overwhelming and isolating. As a therapist and parent of a neurodivergent family, I found myself struggling to find supports that worked for our specific needs. I wanted to make informed decisions but ending up desperately piecing options together, and feeling unsure if what I was doing was “right.” If it was hard for me (with 10 years in the field) I knew it had to be hard for other families too.

ND Family Guide was born to fill in that gap. We’re here to make the search for resources, sensory-friendly spaces, and supportive communities simpler and more accessible. Based in the Chicago suburbs, we focus on both sharing local information and building connections that can make daily life more sustainable and joyful.

Our hope is that when you land here, you can exhale—knowing that things just got a little easier. Whether you’re exploring our resource pages, discovering inclusive places, or connecting with others through community events, we’re glad you’re here.

With you,
Amanda
