Walking into @risinglightsproject felt like walking into a hug. The bright and beautiful interior, kind and welcoming staff and their heart for the community of full display. (Not to mention the smell of freshly baked monkey bread in the air).
Rising Lights Project is a vibrant community hub in Saint Charles dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Their day programming supports adults in building skills, independence, and connection through engaging activities and community involvement. The space features a sensory room, full kitchen, recreation area, and several beautiful rooms for group programming, art, and social gatherings. In addition to day programs, Rising Lights offers events for youth with disabilities, caregiver meetups, and retreats that foster inclusion, joy, and support for both participants and their families.
